How it can be managed that users can sign out simply?Under list administration in the field " e-mail of footing line " fill in the following:
You are on the list $subst ('List.Name') registered as: $subst ('Recip.EmailAddr')
To leave the list, write an empty mail to: $subst ('Email.UnSub')
Attention: The last variable is important, it contains an address specific for the user which removes the user directly. With a new installation of a list this entry is default.

Can I provide own web page for registration and notice of departure?
Yes. In documentations you can download a corresponding example.

Lyris offers the possibility to add at the end of the e-mail automatically a notice of departure which allows the direct delete from the list via e-mail by the user. We recommend to use the notice of departure and a web page only as a supplement and not as a substitute. The notice of departure about e-mail is easier for the user, has less possibilities for mistakes and its quicker. You save a lot support time and with it expenses if you use this possibility of Lyris.

How does the automatic care of the participant's inventory function work?The list server registers every user whos mail came back. (Bounces) It is possible (and we recommend it) if too many mails within a period come back.
Find the configuration of this feature here:
List administration-> Error mail treatment
Holds user (activates the automatic care)
Bounce-Counter-Reset: After how many days the counter should be put back
Bounce limit: After how many bounced mails a participant is disabled (status: hold)
A typical mistake at this point is a too short interval of the Bounts-Resets. In the following example it is not possible that an user is disabled:
Example: Newsletter sent daily without weekends, counter reset: 7 Bounce limits: 6
Because per week (within 7 days) only 5 mails are sent, the reset always happens before the limit is reached.
Can I syncronise bidirectionaly the inventory of the list server with my user's database?

Can I receive as a list administrator reports from the list server?
Yes. In the list administration you can choose at "miscellaneous" the following options:
* Daily, weekly or monthly report
* short or long report
The short report encloses the number of users in different status (hold, signed out, active) the long report contains, in addition, for every day the number of the registrations and notices of departure.

How can I change the sender/recepient/subject of a newsletter?At list administration in the segment e-mail do the following settings:
List subject:
Here you can set up the subject of the newsletter the list name should be preemployed.
Example: [et-testliste] my subject is short
From:
Instead of the author (normally one of the list administrators) a general-valid address can be insered.
Example: Newsletter editorial staff
ATTENTION at this point should be inserted by no means, the e-mail address of a list adminstrator, because it is possible to fake mails (authorising of the administrator follows as a rule about the sender's address). Filling in this field is absolutely necessary.
Reply to:
The same functionality like the "From" field. This address is normally used by mail clients if the user writes a direct answer. If you does not define this, the list description is used followed by the address of the list.
Example: ET test list
A newsletter does not allow to answear to the list, so user are not entitled to write to the list and as a result would receive an automatically generated error mail of the list server.
To:
It's the same functionality as the "reply to" field. Here as a rule the address of the participant have to be.
Example: h.meiser@rtl-online.de

Please, go to customer login and there to "access to the Lyris system". Then as list admin you can follow:

How can I adapt mail texts which the list server sends automatically?
One can give mail texts for the following situations:
* Greeting (after registration)
* Discharge (after notice of departure)
* Confirmation mail (if after registration, a confirmation is required)
In the list administration adds the corresponding documents: (Documents-> set up)
* Type HELLO: Greeting text
* Type BYE: Leaving text
* Type CONFIRM: Confirmation mail
After the documents were added, you can activate them in the list administration (list administration-> documents):
* Greeting-> greeting text
* Goodbye-> discharge text
* Confirmation-> confirmation mail
