With the help of et_lpe content can be easily transferred from an editor server to the live system. The synchronization can be started, on this occasion, either automatically at an agreed time or by hand.
Description
In many cases the editor works not on the live server. Often there is a separate server in the inter or Intranet where the editors include new contents or change existing ones.
The TYPO3 extension et_lpe was developed to transfer the content very simple to the live server. With the help of this extension new contents can be transferred either at the click of a button or at an agreed time on the live system. Besides, certain areas can be stated for the manual transference to update the press releases, for instance.
While defining an area a list of database the tables can be stated which should be taken into consideration with the synchronisation. When on the overview page is choosen the option„ partly deployment“ one or several areas can be selected which shoukd be transfered to the live system. This has the advantage that the deployment process is strongly shortened and no areas where just still worked on are put on-line.

Premises
The transference of the dates should be able without input of a password, so it is necessary to install a certificate on the source server so the program„ Rsync“ has the access to the live system. Otherwise the system needs the following programs which are present with a typical UNIX:
- Rsync
- MySql
- Mysqldump
- SSH
- MD5
In addition, a Perl script must be installed on the live system which starts the installation process.
