Why order channels matters

Photo software provider Ecce Terram offers a connected array of products that address all segments of the evolving photography market. Over the past several months, the company says it collected and analyzed data from five channels for photo print orders: desktop, online, kiosk, mobile apps and social apps. They distilled their findings into this infographic, comparing the different channels.

“Customers expect digital photo ordering and processing services that are in step with current digital photography standards,” the company says. “Consumers have several ways they deal with their images: images taken with smartphones, sharing on Flickr or Facebook, synchronizing from all devices to desktop PCs, and ordering products via Internet. To improve customer loyalty and raise revenues requires a wide range of connected order channels.”
